    Higher Diploma in Cooperative Management, HDCM(Correspondence)

    For the purpose of human resource development with theoretical and practical exposure in the field of cooperative sector, NCCT introduced Higher Diploma in Cooperative Management (Regular) 26 Weeks, Diploma in Handloom Cooperative Management (12 Weeks). Besides it Institute also offers Higher Diploma in Cooperative Management (Correspondence) 26 Weeks.

    The main aim of the Institute of Cooperative Management is to start Higher Diploma in Cooperative Management in correspondence mode to develop Cooperatives, Commercial manager in the Competitive Economy as well as the Cooperative Personal who cannot participate in HDCM conducted at this Institute as regular candidate due to their pre-occupation but they are interested to work in cooperative field. This Correspondence Course can be helpful to them to increase their knowledge & capacity.

    At the time of registration, the training fee of Rs. 10,000/- can be deposited by cash or through bank draft in the favour of Director, Indira Gandhi Institute of Cooperative Management, Lucknow which can be paid in two instalments. As per request by the candidate the registration form will be sent to the candidate or can be downloaded from the website. A copy of graduation mark sheet duly attested by the gazetted officer is essential to send along with registration form.

    SCHEME AND SYLLABUS
    OF HIGHER DIPLOMA IN COOPERATIVE MANAGEMENT (HDCM)

    Main Objective:
    The main objective of introducing the H.D.C.M through correspondence at this institute is to open the avenues for management oriented training for those cooperative personal who can not be spread by this respective organization/institute/Department for undergoing training at the institute for 26 weeks. Through correspondence courses, the cooperative personals may develop their skills and knowledge while being active on the job.

    Eligibility:
    The participant should be graduate in any discipline along with job experience of at least -- years in Cooperative Department/Organization/Institute.

    Admission
    • Personnel working in Co-operative department and cooperative institutions with minimum qualification of graduation.
    • Private candidate, fulfilling the minimum required qualification, can also be admitted. Selection of Private candidates will be made through open test to be conducted at each ICM.
    • Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes candidates will be admitted as per the norms fixed in this behalf by the Govt. of India.
    • Maximum 40 years, relaxable in special cases.
    Pedagogy
    • As the focus of the course is on improving decision making skills, experiential method, role plays, in basket exercise, group discussions and presentations are used. The focus of class sessions in on developing skills and attitudes through active student participation rather than on summarising the reading materials through lectures. The participants are expe- cted to study the recommended literature, cases and exercise materials on their own and discuss within small groups outside the class room.
    Practical Training
    • On completion of the first term the participants will be deputed for observation study inside and outside to a co-operatively well developed state.
    • During the second term two weeks placement / Project Study tour will be assigned to participants inside the state.

    Assessment and Evaluation

    i)                   Each subject will carry  100  marks  consisting of   the following heads :

    Project/assignments

    Term End Examination

    ii)                    13 subjects will have  13 x 100

    iii)                  Evaluation of Observation Study

    iv)                  Project/Placement Study Report and Viva-Voce
