    Indira Gandhi Institute of Cooperative Management (IGICM)

    For the purpose of human resource development with theoretical and practical exposure in the field of cooperative sector, NCCT introduced Higher Diploma in Cooperative Management (Regular) 26 Weeks, Diploma in Handloom Cooperative Management (12 Weeks). Besides it Institute also offers Higher Diploma in Cooperative Management (Correspondence) 26 Weeks.

    The main aim of the Institute of Cooperative Management is to start Higher Diploma in Cooperative Management in correspondence mode to develop Cooperatives, Commercial manager in the Competitive Economy as well as the Cooperative Personal who cannot participate in HDCM conducted at this Institute as regular candidate due to their pre-occupation but they are interested to work in cooperative field. This Correspondence Course can be helpful to them to increase their knowledge & capacity.

    At the time of registration, the training fee of Rs. 10,000/- can be deposited by cash or through bank draft in the favour of Director, Indira Gandhi Institute of Cooperative Management, Lucknow which can be paid in two instalments. As per request by the candidate the registration form will be sent to the candidate or can be downloaded from the website. A copy of graduation mark sheet duly attested by the gazetted officer is essential to send along with registration form.

    DIPLOMA IN HANDLOOM COOPERATIVE MANAGEMENT

    (D.H.C.M.)

     1. Objectives

     1.1     To develop decision making skills of managers in handloom cooperatives on all functional areas of management.

    1.2  to disseminate both conceptual and applied knowledge relevant to the management of handloom cooperatives.

    1.3 to inculcate right attitudes towards cooperative way of managing business.

     2. Duration : 12 Weeks (84 days)

     3. Intake capacity : 30 Participants

     4. Admission to the programme :

    4.1

    (i)                  Secretaries and managers working in the primary handloom cooperatives.

    (ii)                 Middle level personnel working in State level cadres and Central handloom and all India federation of Handloom Cooperatives.

    (iii)               Middle level personnel in the department of handlooms and textiles who are incharge of Handloom Cooperatives.

    (iv)               Education instructors of the NCUI and State Cooperative Unions.

    4.2         The age of those admitted to the course is expected to be below 40. However, it is relaxable in case of deserving candidates.

    4.3         The basic essential educational qualification is a Bachelors degree. However, S.S.C passed with an experience of three years in a handlooms weavers cooperative society at the supervisory level could also be considered

    Paper setting and Evaluation at the end of the each term will  be by external examiner. Minimum pass marks in every subject are 40%  but aggregate in all subjects should not be less than 45%.
