    MBA Programme
    The two year full-time MBA Programme with 60 intake capacity of the institute has been duly approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU),Lucknow.
    Scope
    The institute is committed to offer maximum learning advantages to the students through the well-structured programme. The IGICM is well equipped with infrastructural facilities to groom competent Managers for both the Cooperative and corporate sectors. The MBA degree offers advanced level of learning both in theory and application in business management along with specialized learning in some selected functional areas. Depending on the areas of specialization students on successful completion of the programme are expected to work as a competent business manager.
    Admission Procedure
    Eligibility
    A Bachelor’s degree of three-year duration in any discipline of a recognized University or as decided by AICTE from time to time.

    As per the present practice the eligible candidates are required to appear for the Entrance Examination (UPSEE) conducted by APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow normally during the month of April to May every year.

    Candidates (UPSEE Rank holders) are required to attend the counselling conducted by AKTU as per their scheduled date and venue which is decided by AKTU authorities. The candidates opting for IGICM for persuasion of their studies during counselling are required to deposit the required fee as decided by AKTU. As per the current practice AKTU will provide the registration card to the candidates at the counselling centre. After this the selected candidates are required to contact the IGICM authority for admission into the course. Subsequently the candidates are required to obtain an admission form by paying Rs.1000/- at the institute’s counter. The filled in application form along with the required course fee as decided by the institute should be submitted at the institute on the date of admission as declared by the institute.
    Course Fee
    The total fee payable by a student for 2 years MBA is given as under. Non-payment of fees beyond the stipulated date will invite fine/discontinuance as decided by the authority from time to time.

    The course fees should be paid in the shape of Bank Draft drawn in any nationalized bank in favour of “Director, lndira Gandhi Institute of Cooperative Management” payable at Lucknow.

    Necessary Documents
    At the time of admission, the attested photocopies of following documents have to be submitted to the Institute.
    • College leaving certificate
    • Certificates and mark sheet starting from HSC onwards
    • Conduct certificate
    • Certificate from the head of the Institution last attended
    • Undertaking form duly signed (to be supplied by the Institute)
    • Relieve order from the competent authority (in case of working executives)
    • Permanent Residential certificate
    • Caste certificate issued by the competent authority (for SC/ST students)
    • Registration card provided by AKTU during admission in UPSEE counseling
    CURRICULUM
    The Institute follows the prescribed curriculum, calendar, course structure/syllabus and academic regulations of AKTU for the 2 year (full-time) MBA programme under the Semester System. Each year is spread over to two Semester. All together there are four Semester in the 2 years duration of the programme. In the first year the students are exposed to the concept of management, in the second year, they specialize to develop their skills in the areas of their interest / choice.

    The details of the curriculum, calendar, course structure/syllabus and academic regulations, eligibility and other criteria for examination etc. of AKTU for the 2 year (full-time) MBA and details of Specializations Offered by the University will be provided to the students by the University after admission or else also available in the website of AKTU i.e. www. aktu.ac.in
    Examination
    The institute follows the regulations laid down by the AKTU from time to time for MBA examination. A minimum of 75% attendance is essential for being eligible to appear at the University Examination.
    Placement
    The placement committee is chaired by the Director who plans and coordinates the entire placement activities. The placement officer as member convener identifies visits of various organization and agencies for exploring the opportunities of employment and training. To help the organisations to know about our students the institute prepares CD and bulletin for final placement.

    Our Few Past Recruiters are Computer Science Corporation, Big Bazar, Spencer, India Mart, HDFC, SHCIL, Shoppers-Stop, Bata India, Tech Mahindra with average pay package ranging from 1.75 lac to 2.00 lac few of them are placed in 3.2 lacs to 4.5 lacs.
    PLACEMENT PROCEDURE

    Summer Training
    A candidate at the end of the first year will have to undergo summer training in any organization with the approval of the authority of the Institute for a period of 6 to 8 weeks. This provides an opportunity to the candidate to relate the classroom learning to work situation. On completion of the summer project, the candidate shall submit a report along with a completion certificate from the organization. The candidate is also required to appear in a viva-voce of the same and after evaluation of the summer project, the candidate may be promoted to the final year.
    Hostel and Other Facilities
    Hostel
    IGICM provides well-furnished separate residential accommodation is available for both boys and girls in the institute’s Hostel. All the rooms are double bedded with a common dining hall and T.V. lounge. The students residing in the hostel will be required to strictly abide by the hostel rules and regulations as laid down from time to time. Seats in the hostel will be allotted as per merit-cum-distance basis. The hostel Rent per student is Rs.-------/- per annum excluding Rs.8000/- as refundable caution money.
    Medical Facility
    The Institute provides timely medical facility to the students. The physician visits the Institute weekly twice and the students may avail the medical facility.
    Extra Curricular Activities
    The Institute provides ample opportunity for all-around development of the student. The students are expected to build their career and develop their personality in a conducive environment. They may actively participate in various events. Besides debating competitions are also being organized at University/State/National levels. The Institute has also facilities for indoor games.
    Industrial Tour
    To expose the students to the real business/industry situations, the institute arranges industrial visits every year.
    Personality Development Programme
    Besides the routine course curriculum, the institute conducts various programmes for the personality development of the students viz. Group discussion (G.D.), Personality Development (P.D.), Seminar, Student-Corporate Interface and Yoga etc. Eminent speakers from the field of academic and corporate sectors are invited for these programmes.
