Indira Gandhi Institute of Cooperative Management, Lucknow (IGICM) is one of the premier management institutes of the state established in the year 1956, functioning under National Council for Cooperative Training (NCCT) New Delhi, An autonomous society Promoted by Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India. Presently NCCT has vast infrastructure across the Nation with five Regional ICMs, 14 ICMs and One National Institute VAMNICOM at Pune. The basic objective of this infrastructure is to strengthen the cooperative movement in India through providing effective training, conducting research and consultancy services to the cooperative organization in the nation. For human resource development with theoretical and practical exposure in the field of cooperative sector, NCCT introduced Diploma in Industrial Cooperative Management (Regular) 26 Weeks, Higher Diploma in Cooperative Management (26 Weeks), Diploma in Handloom Cooperative Management (12 Weeks), various Management Development Programs (MDPs) as well.
The basic objective of the Institute is to develop human resources for efficient management of cooperative institution and allied department of Uttar Pradesh by organizing various management department training programmes along with various Diploma courses.
